Golf Instruction

Golf Instruction & Development

Jackson Country Club has cultured an environment to provide our students the necessary resources to help them succeed in becoming the best golfers and individuals possible. Regardless of the ability level of our students, we provides a pathway for them to succeed and become the best they can be.  Our goal is to provide fun and safe programs that will not only educate the student physically but mentally as well to face the challenges golf places on players.  Some of the services we can provide to students are year round swing coaching, mental coaching, tournament scheduling and preparation, fitness routines, competitive tournament evaluation, and technology to help the student strive toward success.

Michael is a graduate of the University of Tennessee at Martin with a BA in Business Administration and has been a part of the Jackson Country Club team since May of 2013. Upon graduation, Michael stepped into the Assistant Golf Professional position as he entered the PGA PGM Program to earn his PGA Membership.

Michael is a PGA Associate working towards his PGA Membership but has already proven himself by being awarded the Assistant Golf Professional of the Year Award for the West TN Chapter in 2018.

Michael strives to make his students as comfortable as possible during a lesson and help them understand what causes the problem as well as why the solution works. He firmly believes there is no need to reinvent the swing, but to make his student’s swings work better for them. At the end of the day, making an easier change to the swing makes it much more repeatable and thus much more successful.
